Fall Hair Trends

Spruce Up for the Season!

Leaves are changing, days are getting cooler, and we’re surrounded by the colors of autumn! Fall inspires plenty of decor, coffee beverages, and seasonal activities but what about hair trends? Here’s a few 2018 fall hair trends that we love.

Stylish Felt Hats

Walking through a pumpkin patch has never so fashionable. The season of the felt hat is back! Try earthy-tones, like taupe or forest green to really ramp-up you seasonal look. There a quite a few styles of hats but we suggest a classic version like this classic colored combo from Free People. Style your hair in loose-curls to achieve that effortless style. Or twist your hair into a low bun, pulling side pieces out to make it appear more casual. The possibilities with hats are limitless!

Slicked Back Ponytails & Styles

Many celebrities attending 2018 award shows have been seen rocking a slicked back look, which comes in perfect time for fall fashion. Women with curly or wavy hair can finally take a break from the summer heat (and frizz!) to enjoy some of these looks. Stars like Zendaya can be seen with a deep middle part, slicked back top, and wavy ends. Try the look yourself! Smooth out your hair using styling gel or hairspray into a tight ponytail. Bonus tip: use a toothbrush and hairspray to wispy away baby hairs.

Messy Buns (that are actually cute)

Meghan Markle, member of the British royal family (Duchess of Sussex to be exact), has been seen rocking her signature messy bun on a number of occasions. Turns out, she’s quite the fashion icon! This hairstyle has become the go-to for many this fall. Her signature look is pretty easy to achieve. All it takes is a little styling and a few bobby pins. Follow along on this InStyle tutorial to get the look.

Chocolate & Chestnut Color

Looking for a little more pop this fall? Take some inspiration from your favorite seasonal drinks. Trendy colors include deep chestnut and warm chocolate. Pair your new color with effortless, natural waves or straight with a striking middle part. Mandy Moore recently added some chestnut undertones to her deep brown locks, giving it that extra dimension.
